By Daily Mail Reporter

Got shorty: John Travolta cradled his five-month-old son Benjamin as he left a restaurant in Brentwood, California

John Travolta is loving being a new father again later in life and is clearly doting on his baby son Benjamin.

The Get Shorty actor took the adorable five-month-old for dinner in California last night along with is wife Kelly Preston, 48, and 10-year-old daughter Ella.

Travolta, 57, cradled his mini-me as they left the Brentwood eatery, delighted to be showing off his bundle of joy.

Like father like son: The 57-year-old showed off his mini-me who is the spitting image of the Grease star

He was dressed down in jeans and a black T-shirt while Benjamin wore a similar outfit to look just like his father.

Kelly meanwhile looked in great shape and wore a black dress with gold jewellery and black peep-toe shoes.

Ella wore a black and white mini-dress and covered up with a black cardigan to keep warm.

His girls: Travolta's wife Kelly Preston and their 10-year-old daughter Ella were also out for the family dinner

Travolta appears to be a real hands on parent and is revelling in daddy duty.

His other new role will be that of New York mafia boss John Gotti in upcoming film Gotti: Three Generations.

The movie has already been beset with issues as just a week after it was announced Lindsay Lohan would play the Mobster's daughter Victoria Gotti - she has now been put in a lesser role.

Close knit: Travolta is a hands on dad with his two children - his eldest son Jett sadly past away two years ago

She apparently personally called producer Marc Fiore to thrash out a deal after negotiations with her people fell through.

Lohan will now portray Kim Gotti, the daughter-in-law of The Teflon Don in the flick.

Despite being sentenced to 120 days in jail, the film's production company Fiore Films has stood by its decision to hire the 24-year-old.

New role: The actor is set to star in upcoming movie Gotti: Three Generations where he will star as New York mafia boss John Gotti

Preston is 48, she and John were trying to conceive another child for the past three years. With the news of she being pregnant last year, the couple were "blown away," they said in the interview accompanying the photo spread. This would probably be Preston's last baby as she will be on the verge of her menopause now.

The couple's first son Jett was born in 1992 but left too soon on 2009, when he suffered a seizure during a family holiday to Bahamas. Their second child, Ella Bleu was born in 2000 and she was waiting outside the delivery room on November 23, 2010, when her little brother came into the world.
